Our mission is to empower and uplift the Black community through sharing information, teaching and practicing care, and combating structures of oppression. As someone who has lived and breathed the realities of growing up in a low-income neighborhood, Hood Smart is my way of giving back and creating generational wealth for our communities.
Through this blog, we aim to provide a platform for sharing stories, research, and resources that help Black individuals and communities to understand their individual and collective rights, combat systems of oppression, and build generational wealth. We'll cover a range of topics, from financial literacy to self-care strategies, and provide insights and advice from experts in various fields.
